Chris and I had been house hunting for months and months with no luck. Chris is the Vice-President of a corporation, so his time was very limited. I was working and going to college full-time. I made an appointment to look at a house one day, and as luck would have it, Doug McAnally was the one that showed us the house. We both liked him the moment we met him. He was straight-forward, and it really seemed to matter to him that we find a house that we loved and would be happy in. He showed us 6 houses the next day that met the criteria we wanted. We fell in love with two of them and wanted to make an offer on one of them, when Doug suggested that we should see just one other house before we decided. The final house had everything we could want and instantly fell in love with it. Doug advised us on how the whole “make an offer” process works because we had never bought a home before. Doug was tremendously helpful and our offer was later accepted.
It was now closing time and Doug and his wife Tiffany went by the house for the next few weeks to make sure that everything would be perfect for us on the day we moved in. Doug went to the closing with us and asked questions. He was really looking out for us the whole time.
Even after the closing Doug called to check on us and ask us if we were still happy with the house. We could not have been any happier with our whole experience. We can not say thank you enough to Doug and Tiffany for everything that they did for us. Doug truly fulfilled his promise to us, “I will be here before, during, and after the sell.” He is a wonderful guy who really wants to help people with the most important purchase that they will ever make. We really can not praise or thank him enough. I definitely recommend Doug and Tiffany to anyone who wants to find their own dream home!

...I wanted to thank you again for doing such a great job on selling my home in Calera. As you know, I had put the home up for sale in July of 2006 with a different realtor. With only one ad, no signs on the corner, and NO feedback - it wasn't surprising we only received one offer that was not only $10,000 below our asking, but from someone who was not pre-qualified to purchase! After three separate closing dates - one which was canceled literally while we were in the parking lot at the lawyer's office - the deal fell through.

5) A GREAT description of my house in the ads - made me not want to move!!!
6) Daily drive-bys by you to make sure the signs were still up and readable.
7) An upbeat, cheery attitude.
8) Feedback on who had seen the house with both positive and negative comments that were made.
9) A closing that was smooth and easy to understand. You let us know exactly what we needed to bring.
And... most importantly...

My husband and I were ready to buy our very first home. We had been debating on whether or not to use a realtor because we figured we could find a home on our own, but after contemplating all of the things we would have to do on our own, we decided to use one. I asked a friend at work, who lived near the area we were looking in, if she knew anyone. Her husband just happened to be a home builder and had a few contacts. He highly recommended Doug McAnally. So we decided to give him a call and we are so thankful we did! We not only got a realtor, but we also got a friend. Who better to help us find our first home than the Birmingham Dream Home Team! There aren’t enough words to say how nice it was to have Doug as our realtor. He wasn’t just any realtor. He was cheerful, friendly, sincere, and willing to help us. He and his wife are jewels. They were truly looking out for our best interests! Doug had told us that from the beginning and he meant every word. He told us that he was willing to look at as many houses as it took to help us find “the one”. We found one that we wrote a contract on and paid for a home inspection. We weren’t as pleased with it after the inspection so we decided to back out while we could. Doug took care of everything for us and the only money we lost was paying for the inspection, but in our opinion, it was money worth spending. So we kept looking and Doug continued to help us compile our lists and do background research for us on each house we were interested in. He was very knowledgeable about the area we were looking in and gave us several tips on what to look for in a home. You can tell he is experienced in real estate and knows how to guide you through the home buying process. He was always willing to work with our schedules and we were always able to reach him when we needed him. When we finally found “the one”, Doug helped us through the whole closing process. He gave us advice on the things we needed to get done and continued to be available to us. He even bought us some candle holders for our mantle as a housewarming gift which we have displayed in our new home. When we moved in, we realized we didn’t have openers for our garage so we called Doug to see if he might know where they were. Apparently, the previous owner didn’t leave them so Doug took care of it for us. He went and bought us new openers and came over and programmed them for us. It was something we could have done ourselves, but that is the kind of person Doug is. He looks out for you and does everything he can to make it easier for you. Buying a home was simple with Doug. We are so thankful that we were able to cross paths with him and will continue to use him for our house needs in the future. We are very pleased with our new house. Each day we find something new that we love about it. We wouldn’t dream of using anyone but the Home Team that made our Home Dreams come true!
